1.Where did you grow up? <\/strong>In a very small town in Panama called Cais\u00e1n. It’s famous in Panama for the production of all kinds of beans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. What\u2019s your most memorable story from growing up? <\/strong>Climbing a mango tree and chilling on a branch while eating yummy mangoes! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. When did you know you wanted to be a teacher?<\/strong> Somewhere between giving lessons to my dolls and stuffed animals as a child and assisting a Sunday school teacher at church as a teenager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

4. What\u2019s the best advice you would give to kids learning Spanish?<\/strong>Don\u2019t be afraid of making mistakes or sounding silly; just practice a little bit every day and have fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. What State do you live in and what do you like best about it?<\/strong>New Jersey. I live close to the ocean and get the best sunsets ever!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. How many languages do you speak? <\/strong>I\u2019m a Spanish native speaker, fluent in English, intermediate in Mandarin and a beginner in German. Languages have made me appreciate the diversity of cultures so much more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. What do you enjoy most about learning other languages? <\/strong>Hearing people speak in a language I can understand and being able to communicate with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. What was your favorite activity as a kid? <\/strong>Sewing dresses for my dolls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. What are your favorite activities now? <\/strong>I like to sew, do arts and crafts and DIY projects and go for walks on the beach with my husband.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. What\u2019s your favorite thing to do on a day off?<\/strong> Watch Chinese dramas! LOL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11. What\u2019s your favorite Spanish (or Hispanic) food?<\/strong> Arr\u00f3z con Pollo, empanadas and flan for dessert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12. What\u2019s your favorite place in the Spanish-speaking world to visit? <\/strong>\u201cHome\u201d in Panama because that\u2019s where most of my family is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13. What’s the next skill you want to learn?<\/strong> I want to learn to play the piano well.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
